Induction or blade: the choice that decides everything else

Older IQOS models heat a stick by pushing a ceramic blade into it. ILUMA replaced that with an induction coil that heats a metal element sealed inside the stick. No blade means nothing to scrape, no cleaning sticks to buy and no burnt residue carrying over from your last flavour. It also means the two generations use different consumables that are not interchangeable in either direction, so buy the device first and then the sticks that fit it. The four ILUMA families

Limited editions

The ILUMA limited editions and the premium collection run the same internals as the standard models in special finishes. IQOS makes fixed runs and does not restock a finish once it is gone, so a colour you like is worth ordering rather than bookmarking.

Lambda holders

Lambda is a third-party maker, not IQOS. The Lambda i8 heats by induction and takes TEREA and SENTIA. The Lambda CC uses a blade and takes HEETS. Choosing quickly

Want the lowest price and one piece to carry: i One. Out all day and want a charger in your pocket: i Standard. Want the touch screen and Pause Mode: i Standard, or i Prime for the aluminium body. Already know you don't need the newer extras: the original ILUMA. Want something nobody else has: a limited edition. The three ordering mistakes we see most

• Buying HEETS for an ILUMA. ILUMA is bladeless and cannot heat a HEETS stick. TEREA is the only stick that fits.
• Mixing up the two Lambda models. The Lambda i8 is induction and takes TEREA. The Lambda CC is blade-based and takes HEETS. The colour names are the same, so read the model name.
• Buying sticks before the device. The two generations take different consumables that don't cross over in either direction, so settle the device first.

A first-time buyer's path in three steps

Authenticity, payment and returns

Every device ships as new, sealed stock and is checked before it leaves us, never opened, repackaged or grey-market. Card, bank transfer and cash on delivery are all accepted, and nothing is charged until the order is confirmed. If a device arrives damaged or wrong, the returns and refunds policy covers it. Delivery takes 40 to 60 minutes across Dubai, Ajman and Sharjah, and the same day or within 24 hours elsewhere in the UAE.
