What all-in-one actually means

The battery lives inside the holder, so there is nothing to pair, nothing to top up separately and nothing to leave behind. A full charge takes around 90 minutes over USB-C and covers roughly 20 consecutive uses. You get FlexPuff, which adds a few extra puffs on a slow draw, and AutoStart, which begins heating as soon as you insert a stick, with no button to hold.

What you give up

Because holder and battery are one piece, you can't top up mid-session from a pocket charger the way you can with the i Standard or i Prime. When the battery runs low you plug it in. For most people who smoke a few sticks at a time at home, in the car or at work, that is no hardship. If you routinely chain many sticks away from a socket, the two-piece models fit better.

The five colours

Midnight Black, Digital Violet, Vivid Terracotta, Breeze Blue and Leaf Green all share the same specification and the same price. Midnight Black is the understated choice and the easiest to match with a case. Digital Violet and Vivid Terracotta stand out more. The colour is the only decision, because none of it changes how the device heats or how long it lasts.

Limited editions on this body

Who the i One suits

It suits the person who wants the least to think about. You keep one object in your pocket, you don't pair anything, and you don't decide when to top up a separate charger. Commuters, people who smoke mostly at home or in the car, and anyone trying ILUMA for the first time without wanting to commit to a bigger device tend to be happiest with it. It suits you less if you regularly get through many sticks in a row away from a socket.

Living with one battery

The habit that works is simple: plug it in when you are somewhere you'll be for an hour and a half, such as at a desk, in the car or overnight, so it is full when you leave. A full charge is roughly 20 consecutive uses. If you know you'll need more than that in a stretch without a socket, that is the point to move up to a two-piece model, where the pocket charger carries the reserve.

What you spend after the device

The i One is the cheapest way into ILUMA i, but the sticks are what you buy repeatedly, in packs of 20 and cartons of 200. Pairing a budget device with the cheaper regions makes the whole setup cost less: TEREA from Uzbekistan and Indonesia costs roughly half the same flavour from Japan. Warranty and first session

The listings state a one-year warranty. For the first use, charge fully over USB-C (around 90 minutes), insert a TEREA stick and let AutoStart begin heating. There is no button to hold. Then draw at an even pace until the session ends at about six minutes or fourteen puffs.

Sticks to start with

For a mild, plain tobacco stick try Silver or Amber. For cooling, Turquoise adds menthol over toasted tobacco. If you want a capsule you can crush for a menthol boost, Oasis Pearl is passionfruit with a menthol capsule and is consistent across the three regions that stock it.

What the i One does not have

The i One has no Pause Mode: once a stick starts, it runs to the end, at about six minutes or 14 puffs. Pause Mode is on the two-piece ILUMA i models, the i Standard and the i Prime. If your sessions are often interrupted by calls or meetings, that is the practical reason to pay more. If you smoke a stick start to finish, the i One gives you the same heating and the same TEREA for less.

Authenticity, payment and returns

Every device ships as new, sealed stock and is checked before it leaves us, never opened, repackaged or grey-market. Card, bank transfer and cash on delivery are all accepted, and nothing is charged until the order is confirmed. If a device arrives damaged or wrong, the returns and refunds policy covers it.
