About IQOS ILUMA Prime
The IQOS ILUMA Prime is the original-generation flagship, from before the ILUMA i range. It is a holder and a 2380 mAh pocket charger. It heats TEREA sticks by bladeless SMARTCORE induction. Which sticks fit the IQOS ILUMA Prime
Every ILUMA heats by SMARTCORE induction: a coil heats a metal element sealed inside each TEREA stick. HEETS have no metal element, so an ILUMA cannot heat them, and TEREA should not go into an older blade-heated IQOS. BLENDS are made for BONDS by IQOS and fit neither.

ILUMA Prime or ILUMA i Prime?
Both are Prime-tier holder-and-charger devices with the same SMARTCORE induction, and both take exactly the same TEREA sticks. The difference is the generation. The ILUMA i Prime adds the touch screen, Pause Mode and FlexBattery that arrived with the i series.

If Pause Mode or the touch screen matters to you, choose the ILUMA i Prime, or the ILUMA i Standard, which has the same features for less. If you want one of these four colours, or you know you will not use those extras, the original Prime heats the stick the same way.
Coming from an older IQOS?
Blade-heated IQOS devices such as the 3 DUO take HEETS. Every ILUMA, this one included, takes TEREA and nothing else, so existing HEETS will not work in it. Budget for TEREA alongside the device: the TEREA range covers seven source markets, and TEREA Japan is the usual first pick. With no blade, there is no cleaning routine either.
Charging and daily use
Charge the pocket charger fully before the first use. After that, the holder sits in the charger between sticks and tops up in a couple of minutes, so the only slow charge is the pocket charger itself, around 2 hours 15 minutes from empty over USB-C. Insert a TEREA stick, wait for the ready signal, then draw.
Who should still buy the original Prime
The original Prime makes sense in three cases. You want one of its four colours, which are not on the ILUMA i Prime list. You smoke a stick start to finish and will not miss Pause Mode or the touch screen. Or you want a Prime-tier holder and charger as a second device, at home or in the car. In each case the stick heats exactly the same way as on the newer i Prime, because both use SMARTCORE induction.
What changes with the i generation
The ILUMA i range added a touch screen on the holder, Pause Mode for up to eight minutes, FlexBattery with Performance and Eco modes, and FlexPuff, which adds up to four puffs on a slow draw. In Performance Mode the newer holders give up to three sticks in a row. None of that changes the taste of TEREA. If those features matter to you, the ILUMA i Standard has all of them for less than the i Prime.

Every device arrives sealed. Express delivery takes 40 to 60 minutes in Dubai, Ajman and Sharjah, or 1.5 to 3 hours on standard, with same-day delivery to the rest of the UAE. You pay cash or card at the door, nothing in advance, and delivery is free on orders over 450 AED. Sold to adults 18 and over only. IQOS ILUMA Prime Questions
- Is the IQOS ILUMA Prime the same as the ILUMA i Prime?
- No. The ILUMA Prime is the original generation and the ILUMA i Prime is the newer one. Both use SMARTCORE induction and take the same TEREA sticks, but the touch screen, Pause Mode and FlexBattery are only on the i generation, the i Prime and i Standard.
- Does the IQOS ILUMA Prime work with TEREA sticks?
- Yes, TEREA only. Every TEREA stick we stock fits it, across all seven source markets. HEETS will not work in any ILUMA device.
- Does the ILUMA Prime have Pause Mode or a touch screen?
- No. The touch screen, Pause Mode and FlexBattery arrived with the ILUMA i generation. If you want them, choose the ILUMA i Prime or the ILUMA i Standard, which take exactly the same TEREA sticks.

- Is the ILUMA Prime sold sealed and new?
- Yes. Every device ships as new, sealed stock, checked before it leaves us. Card, bank transfer and cash on delivery are all accepted.
- Do I need to clean the ILUMA Prime?
- No. There is no blade, so there is nothing to scrape and no cleaning sticks to buy. Induction heats a metal element inside each TEREA stick.
