IQOS ILUMA i Prime REMIX Limited Edition

The IQOS ILUMA i PRIME REMIX is the REMIX Limited Edition version of the ILUMA i PRIME: the same holder and pocket charger and the same features, in an iridescent REMIX finish that shifts colour with the light. It is a limited release rather than a standing product.

What you get

Everything the standard ILUMA i PRIME has: bladeless SMARTCORE induction heating at 350 °C, a touch screen showing pre-heating status, time remaining and available uses, Pause Mode for up to eight minutes, FlexBattery with Eco and Performance modes, and FlexPuff for up to four extra puffs on a slow draw. It takes TEREA sticks only.

REMIX or a standard i PRIME colour?

REMIX is a design release, not a performance one. Heating, battery and features match the standard i PRIME colours, which cost less. Buy the REMIX for the finish; if the finish does not matter to you, the standard colours give you the same device. Limited editions are made in fixed runs and are not usually restocked once they sell through.

Charging and using it

Charge fully before the first use. The pocket charger charges over USB-C in about 2 hours 15 minutes, and the holder tops up from it between sticks. Insert a TEREA stick and heating starts on its own. A session runs six minutes or fourteen puffs, whichever comes first.

Pros and cons

Pros:

• The full ILUMA i PRIME feature set: touch screen, Pause Mode, FlexBattery and FlexPuff
• A limited REMIX finish, not a standing catalogue colour

Cons:

• Costs more than a standard-colour i PRIME for the same features
• A limited run, so it is unlikely to be restocked once it sells out
