IQOS TEREA Blue Indonesia

Blue is the straight menthol stick in the Indonesian range. No fruit, no capsule, just cooling over the fuller Indonesian tobacco base, which makes it noticeably rounder than the Japanese equivalent.

Menthol with more behind it

The cooling itself is moderate rather than aggressive. What distinguishes this from a Japanese menthol is the base: Indonesian tobacco carries more natural sweetness, so the stick reads warmer even though the menthol level is similar.

The result suits people who find dry menthols harsh. It is the softer way into cooled TEREA.

Blue against the Japanese menthols

TEREA Menthol from Japan is drier and sharper. TEREA Mint is lighter still. Blue sits apart from both by being rounder rather than colder or milder.

Within Indonesia, Green takes a mint direction instead, and Bright Wave adds green fruit to deeper cooling.

Who this suits

Anyone who wants cooling without the sharpness of a dry menthol. If you specifically want the coldest option regardless of harshness, a Japanese or Swiss menthol variant will get you further.

Device compatibility

Works with ILUMA, ILUMA i Standard, i One and i Prime, plus the Lambda i8. Does not work with the IQOS 3 DUO or any other blade device. Why that is.

Using it, start to finish

Insert one stick into the ILUMA holder, wait for the ready signal, then draw. A session runs about six minutes or fourteen puffs, whichever comes first. Pacing the draw is what gets the full session out of it.

Pros and cons

Pros:

• Rounder, softer menthol than the dry Japanese equivalent, suits people who find sharp menthol harsh
• Consistent cooling from the first puff, no capsule to manage
• The natural sweetness of the Indonesian base takes the edge off without adding fruit

Cons:

• Not the coldest option if maximum cooling matters more than smoothness, a Japanese or Swiss menthol goes further
• If you specifically want the sharpest menthol in this range, Mulint is the one to pick instead
