TEREA Riviera Pearl Indonesia

Riviera Pearl is the sweetest of the Indonesian Pearls: tropical fruit with a crushable menthol capsule. Uncrushed it reads almost as a fruit stick; crushed it turns crisp and much colder.

Tropical, then crisp

The fruit is mango-leaning with something lighter behind it, and the Indonesian base pushes the sweetness further than the same idea would go from Japan. Crushing the capsule cuts through all of that and turns the stick sharp.

The contrast is the appeal. Few sticks change this much on crushing.

Riviera or the Japanese Pearls

Oasis Pearl from Japan is the tart passionfruit alternative and considerably drier. Sun Pearl goes herbal. Riviera is the sweet one, by a distance.

Within Indonesia, Berrin Pearl is the berry option and Perint Pearl drops fruit entirely.

Who this suits

Anyone who wants the sweetest, most tropical capsule stick we carry, with a genuinely different second half once the capsule is crushed.

Device compatibility

Riviera Pearl is an ILUMA stick. That means the ILUMA range, the ILUMA i range, and the Lambda i8. If your holder has a blade visible inside it, you are looking for HEETS.

Storage and freshness

Keep packs out of direct heat and sunlight, same as any TEREA stick. The flavour holds fine at room temperature but degrades faster in a hot car or on a windowsill. A sealed pack easily outlasts the time it takes to work through it.

Using it, start to finish

Insert one stick, wait for the ready signal, then draw. A session runs about six minutes or fourteen puffs. Crush the capsule whenever the second flavour should arrive. Early for cooling from the start, or partway through to get both halves of the stick out of one draw.

Pros and cons

Pros:

• The sweetest, most dramatic before-and-after of any capsule stick we carry
• Genuinely different fruit-forward and cold-crisp halves from a single stick

Cons:

• Too sweet if tropical-forward fruit isn't your thing, the Japanese Pearls are considerably drier
