TEREA Perint Pearl Edition Indonesia

Perint Pearl is the mint capsule stick in the Indonesian range: light tobacco underneath, a crushable cooling capsule in the filter, and no fruit anywhere in it.

Ordinary until you crush it

Left intact the stick is unremarkable, a mild tobacco with barely any cooling. Crush the capsule and it turns properly cold. That gap between the two states is wider here than in the fruit Pearls, because there is no fruit note bridging them.

Effectively you are choosing between a plain light stick and a menthol one, whenever you want.

Perint against the fruit Pearls

Berrin Pearl and Riviera Pearl both carry fruit alongside the capsule. Perint is the clean option, and the one to pick if you want cooling on demand without sweetness.

Japan's Shine Pearl does the same job with a drier base.

Who this suits

Anyone who wants the flexibility of a capsule stick without any fruit or added sweetness getting in the way.

Device compatibility

ILUMA and ILUMA i devices, plus the Lambda i8. No blade-heated IQOS can heat TEREA of any origin, and forcing one in risks the blade rather than achieving anything.

Storage and freshness

Keep packs out of direct heat and sunlight, same as any TEREA stick. The flavour holds fine at room temperature but degrades faster in a hot car or on a windowsill. A sealed pack easily outlasts the time it takes to work through it.

Using it, start to finish

Insert one stick, wait for the ready signal, then draw. A session runs about six minutes or fourteen puffs. Crush the capsule whenever the second flavour should arrive. Early for cooling from the start, or partway through to get both halves of the stick out of one draw.

Pros and cons

Pros:

• No fruit or added sweetness at all, pure tobacco or pure menthol, your choice
• The plainest, most flexible capsule stick in the Indonesian range

Cons:

• Deliberately unremarkable uncrushed, which can disappoint if you expected more flavour before crushing
