Is Kyrgyz Purple Wave the same as the Indonesian one?

No. The variant name matches but the Indonesian base is sweeter and fuller. Flavoured sticks diverge between markets more than plain tobacco does.

How strong is the menthol?

Moderate and building. It arrives behind the berry rather than leading, which is what distinguishes a wave from a straight menthol.
