IQOS TEREA Turquoise Kyrgyzstan

Turquoise pairs toasted tobacco with menthol, which makes it the middle ground between the plain sticks and the fruit-menthol variants. It costs noticeably less than the Japanese equivalent.

Toast underneath the cooling

Unusually for a menthol stick, the tobacco stays audible. The toasting gives it a base that the cooling sits on rather than erases, and the result is warmer than a straight menthol without being sweet.

Menthol level is moderate. If you want cold, this is not it. If you want cooling with tobacco still present, it is exactly right.

Against the other Kyrgyz menthols

Green Zing goes citrus and sharp. Purple Wave goes berry. Turquoise keeps fruit out of it entirely, which makes it the one to pick if fruit-menthol combinations have never suited you.

Japan's TEREA Menthol is colder and drier at a higher price.

Device compatibility

The heating element sits inside each Terea Turquoise Kyrgyzstan stick, which is why only an induction holder can reach it. ILUMA and ILUMA i, yes. The 3 DUO, no.

Using it, start to finish

Insert one stick into the ILUMA holder, wait for the ready signal, then draw. A session runs about six minutes or fourteen puffs, whichever comes first. Pacing the draw is what gets the full session out of it.

Pros and cons

Pros:

• Tobacco genuinely stays audible under the cooling, a real formulation choice, not just marketing
• Moderate cooling suits people who find sharp menthols harsh

Cons:

• Not cold enough if maximum menthol is the actual goal, Green Zing is sharper in this range

Storage and freshness

Keep packs out of direct heat and sunlight, same as any TEREA stick. The flavour holds fine at room temperature but degrades faster in a hot car or on a windowsill. A sealed pack easily outlasts the time it takes to work through it.
