IQOS TEREA Provence Pearl Kyrgyzstan

Provence Pearl is aromatic tobacco with a click capsule, the most distinctive stick in the Kyrgyz range and the only one where the appeal is the aroma rather than the strength.

Aromatic rather than flavoured

Uncrushed, a light tobacco carries a herbal, faintly lavender-leaning aroma. Crushing the capsule releases cooling that sharpens the whole thing without erasing the aromatic character.

It is a quieter stick than the fruit Pearls, and the one people either adopt as their evening variant or never order again.

Provence or Sun Pearl?

Sun Pearl is the melon-led fruit capsule and much more straightforward. Provence is aromatic and subtle. Both cost the same; they are aimed at different moods entirely.

The nearest thing in another market is Japan's Sun Pearl, which shares the herbal instinct at a higher price.

Device compatibility

Terea Provence Pearl Kyrgyzstan heats by induction, so it needs an ILUMA or ILUMA i holder, or a Lambda i8. A blade-heated 3 DUO cannot fire it. How to tell which you own.

Using it, start to finish

Insert one stick, wait for the ready signal, then draw. A session runs about six minutes or fourteen puffs. Crush the capsule whenever the second flavour should arrive. Early for cooling from the start, or partway through to get both halves of the stick out of one draw.

Pros and cons

Pros:

• Genuinely distinctive, the only stick in this range built around aroma rather than strength
• A real alternative if the more straightforward fruit Pearls have started to feel one-note

Cons:

• Too light and subtle for heavy smokers, by its own description
• An acquired taste, not a safe first pick if you're new to the Kyrgyz range

Storage and freshness

Keep packs out of direct heat and sunlight, same as any TEREA stick. The flavour holds fine at room temperature but degrades faster in a hot car or on a windowsill. A sealed pack easily outlasts the time it takes to work through it.
