IQOS TEREA Yellow Menthol Japan

Yellow Menthol is the citrus-led cooling stick from the Japanese range, and the one that suits a Dubai afternoon better than almost anything else on this page. Lemon-leaning brightness over a light menthol, finishing clean rather than sweet.

Citrus first, cooling second

The lemon note leads and the menthol supports it rather than the other way round. That balance is what separates this from the fruit-menthol sticks where cooling dominates and the fruit is barely there.

It is a light stick overall. The tobacco base is restrained and the finish is short, which is exactly why it works in heat and why people who smoke it in summer often switch to something heavier come winter.

Yellow against the other fruit menthols

Tropical Menthol is mango-forward, sweeter and considerably fuller. Purple Menthol goes to berry, which lands darker and rounder. Yellow is the lightest and driest of the three.

Want the same brightness with the cooling under your control? Sun Pearl puts a citrus-adjacent profile behind a crushable capsule. Yellow is also stocked from Uzbekistan, Switzerland and Kyrgyzstan at lower prices.

Device fit

Induction only, so ILUMA, ILUMA i and Lambda i8. An IQOS 3 DUO cannot heat it.

Twenty sticks per pack, up to fourteen puffs each. Citrus notes are the first thing to fade if a pack sits in a hot car, so this is one to keep indoors.

Storage and freshness

Keep packs out of direct heat and sunlight. A hot car in Dubai does more damage to flavour than months on a shelf indoors. A sealed pack holds its character for as long as it takes to work through a carton.

Using it, start to finish

Insert one stick into the ILUMA holder, wait for the ready signal, then draw. A session runs about six minutes or fourteen puffs, whichever comes first. There's no way to extend a single stick beyond that, so pacing the draw is what gets the full session out of it.

Pros and cons

Pros:

• Light and dry, genuinely suits a Dubai afternoon better than the sweeter fruit menthols
• Cheaper regions exist (Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Switzerland) if origin doesn't matter to you

Cons:

• The most expensive of the four regions we stock this flavour from
• Thin, short finish disappoints anyone wanting more body
