Lambda i8 vs Lambda CC
The two look alike and share most of their specification. The heating method, and so the sticks they take, is what separates them.

Lambda against IQOS ILUMA i
Lambda is a third-party brand. It heats the same sticks for less money and adds heat control, and gives up the IQOS software features.

Which sticks fit which Lambda
TEREA has a metal element inside that only an induction heater can warm. HEETS have no metal element and need a blade.

Which Lambda to buy
Start from the sticks you smoke. If you use TEREA, the sticks made for IQOS ILUMA, you need the Lambda i8. If you use HEETS, the sticks made for blade-heated IQOS devices such as the IQOS 3 DUO, you need the Lambda CC. The two look similar enough to mix up, and a device bought for the wrong sticks will not heat them at all. Wrong-device returns are the most common we handle, so check the pack before ordering.
What adjustable heat and session length change
A standard IQOS heats every stick at one fixed setting. Both Lambda holders let you choose, from 200 to 300 °C and from 3 to 6 minutes. A lower temperature with a longer session makes one stick draw for longer; a higher temperature with a shorter session gives a stronger, quicker one. The setting changes how the stick is heated, not the stick itself, so it is worth trying a few combinations with a flavour you already know.
Battery and charging
Both models run on a 3200 mAh battery, good for around 35 to 40 sessions per charge, and recharge in about 2.5 hours. That is more sessions per charge than an IQOS ILUMA, which is one reason people keep a Lambda as a second device for a long day out.
Cleaning and care
The Lambda i8 heats by induction, so there is no blade and nothing to clean between sticks. The Lambda CC heats with a blade, which collects residue over time and needs regular cleaning, the same as any blade-heated device. Keep either one out of direct heat, such as a car parked in the sun.
Pairing the i8 with lower-priced TEREA
If cost is why you are looking at Lambda, the i8 pairs naturally with the lower-priced TEREA origins. Packs from Uzbekistan start at 125 AED and from Kyrgyzstan at 135 AED, against 210 AED for Japan. Every TEREA we stock fits the i8, across all seven origins.
