Lambda i8 Black

Black is the standard Lambda i8, the induction holder in this range and the one that takes TEREA rather than HEETS. 250 AED, and the device most people default to before deciding whether a colour matters to them.

Induction, with control over it

Smartcore induction heats the metal element inside a TEREA stick with no blade involved, same principle as an ILUMA. What an ILUMA does not give you is adjustment: this runs 200°C to 300°C and a session from three to six minutes, both set by you rather than fixed by PMI.

It also takes SENTIA sticks alongside TEREA. HEETS will not work in it at all, since there is no blade to heat them.

i8 against an ILUMA i Standard

Both heat TEREA by induction to comparable effect. The i8 costs less and typically runs longer between charges; the ILUMA i Standard gives you FlexPuff, an official warranty channel and PMI's support network. The full trade-off is covered here.

Does the Lambda i8 take HEETS?

No. It heats by induction with no blade, so HEETS cannot work in it. It takes TEREA and SENTIA sticks.

Is it the same heating method as an ILUMA?

Yes, Smartcore induction, the same principle IQOS ILUMA uses. The i8 adds adjustable temperature and session length, which ILUMA does not offer.
