About International City
International City is a large residential community on the eastern side of Dubai, next to Dragon Mart. It is laid out as a set of clusters, each named after a country, such as China, England, France, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Persia, Russia and Spain, with low-rise apartment buildings inside each one.
It is part of Dubai, so it gets Dubai's delivery times: express in 40-60 minutes and standard in 1:30 -2 hours. Most orders here go to homes, which makes the evening the busy time, and the 10 PM cutoff means an order placed after work still goes out the same day.
Getting the order to the right building
From the road, many International City buildings look alike, so the cluster name matters as much as the building number. Give the cluster first, then the building number and your flat.
A WhatsApp location pin of your building's entrance is the quickest way to guide the courier. Since payment is on arrival, be ready to meet them at the entrance or tell them which floor to come to.
Landmarks couriers use in International City
- Dragon Mart
- The large Chinese trading mall at the edge of the community; a useful reference if your cluster is close to it.
- Your cluster name
- China, England, France, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Persia, Russia, Spain and the others; the single most useful detail for the courier.
Timing an International City order
Express in 40-60 minutes costs the same AED 30 as standard in 1:30 -2 hours, so pick express whenever you want the order sooner.
If you are ordering for the evening, place it before 10 PM to keep it on the same day. Orders over AED 450 are delivered free.
