TEREA Bronze Swiss for IQOS ILUMA

Swiss Bronze blends tobacco with cocoa and dried fruit notes. Warmer than the rest of the Swiss range, which runs dry as a rule.

The exception in a dry range

Cocoa reads as dark chocolate, with dried fruit adding a raisin-like sweetness underneath. Even so, the Swiss treatment keeps it more restrained than the Indonesian version of the same idea.

Bronze here or from Indonesia

Indonesian Bronze is fuller and sweeter, and considerably cheaper at 120 AED. Swiss Bronze is the drier interpretation for anyone who found the Indonesian one too rich.

Device compatibility

Induction only. ILUMA, ILUMA i and the Lambda i8 all work; the 3 DUO and anything before it do not. The full explanation.

Using it, start to finish

Insert one stick into the ILUMA holder, wait for the ready signal, then draw. A session runs about six minutes or fourteen puffs, whichever comes first. Pacing the draw is what gets the full session out of it.

Pros and cons

Pros:

• The genuine exception in an otherwise dry, austere Swiss range
• More restrained than the Indonesian version, if that one felt too rich
• Cocoa and dried fruit sit inside the tobacco rather than sitting on top of it, so it stays a tobacco stick, not a dessert one

Cons:

• Still less sweet than Indonesian Bronze, which is also considerably cheaper at 120 AED
• Not the pick if you actively want the fuller Indonesian treatment of the same flavour

Storage and freshness

Keep packs out of direct heat and sunlight, same as any TEREA stick. The flavour holds fine at room temperature but degrades faster in a hot car or on a windowsill. A sealed pack easily outlasts the time it takes to work through it.
