Al Fakher Gum Shisha Flavour

Bubble gum molasses, sweet and unmistakably artificial in the way it is meant to be. Popular with people who want something entirely different from the fruit and mint flavours.

What it is

Shisha molasses on Virginia blonde leaf at 0.05% nicotine, made in the UAE. Meant for a proper hookah setup with charcoal and a bowl, not for any electronic device.

Where it sits in the range

Among the flavours we carry, this is the novelty flavour, and it knows it. The full Al Fakher range runs to ten flavours, and mixing two in one bowl is common practice rather than unusual.

Packing a bowl

Break the molasses up loosely rather than packing it tight. Airflow through the bowl is what lets the flavour develop instead of scorching. Spreading the charcoal's heat evenly across the top, rather than concentrating it in one spot, is usually what separates a bowl that lasts from one that turns burnt early.

Mixing it into a bowl

Gum works best on its own or paired with something equally playful rather than a classic fruit, a little Watermelon on top keeps the sweetness light instead of doubling down on the artificial note.

Pros and cons

Pros:

• Deliberately, unmistakably different from every fruit or mint flavour in the range
• A genuine novelty pick for a group that's already worked through the standard flavours
• Holds its character through a full bowl rather than mellowing into something else

Cons:

• The artificial sweetness is the whole point, not a criticism, but not for anyone wanting a natural fruit or tobacco taste
• Not a flavour to start a first hookah session on if you're unsure what you like
