What is in the tin

Shisha molasses on Virginia blonde leaf at 0.05% nicotine, made from tobacco leaf, molasses, glycerin and flavour. Al Fakher is made in the United Arab Emirates.

Which flavour to start with

Setting up a hookah for the first time? Two Apples is the flavour Al Fakher is known for across the Gulf. If fruit flavours feel too sweet over a long evening, Super Lemon Mint or Grape with Mint keep it sharper. Watermelon is the lighter choice for summer.

Mixing flavours

Mixing two flavours in one bowl is common practice. A popular pairing is half Mint with half a fruit flavour, which is why many regulars keep a tin of Mint for mixing. Orange with Mint and Super Lemon Mint are effectively pre-mixed versions of combinations people make anyway.

Packing a bowl

Break the molasses up loosely rather than packing it tight. Airflow through the bowl is what lets the flavour develop instead of scorching, so a loose pack under the foil or heat management device gives a longer, smoother session.
